The key expression is : LEFT(AU_KEY+SPACE(20),20)+DTOS(AU_DATE)+LEFT(AU_TIME+SPACE(8),8)

We have the system rolled out at over 150 other sites and do not get the same problem. Only one table is effected by this problem.

I havent really looked at checking the disk as to be honest I hadnt thought about this being the problem. We have rebuilt the index which involves copying all the data into a fresh table and reindexing the new table.

Considering both yourself and Tore have indicated it could be a disk problem then I think I will need to follow this up.
