>>Hi all ...
>>
>>I have a difficult problem arising with a FoxPro 2.6 application. I have a version of the application (built in early 2003) running on site without a problem. Yesterday, a support issue arose which I fixed. I rebuilt the exe, which runs fine on my PC, but when installed on site, the following error is displayed:
>>
>>"Cannot create program workspace. File access denied."
>>
>>The detail provided in the MSDN help is good, and it seems like a straightforward error - either lack of disk space or lack of access rights. However, neither of these is the problem. I saw a suggestion on another website that DLLs may need to be reinstalled to alleviate a similar problem, but to me this makes no sense. Does anyone know if this is being caused by a conflict between XP and Fox 2.6 or have any suggestions ??

Apologies Barbera ....

I've been teethed in VFP 6+ environment, and am a bit of a 2.6 newbie, so I didn't realise that the Config.FPW was actually built into the executable as part of the project in this instance. Whether this is good practice or not is another question. It is this which was causing the difference between old and new Exe's, as the tmpfiles path specified was pointing to a read only location on the local PC. Thanks for the help ...
