I don't really remember you giving a name of someone that could be responsible for that.

I just googled to see what was Eric Rudder's role withing MS.

I read long enough to see that he could be considered someone close to Bill Gates (Ruler of the IT world and boss of the evil empire) and in charge of big things within MS.

I don't know if Ken has enjoyed our little battles around marketing of VFP as much as I did <bg> but you'd never catch me thinking of starting the same thing with someone like a pal of Bill Gates.

So I guess that it could be the same for Ken Levy. If he really like working for MS perhaps he wants to keep a low profile for a while <g>

I thought that there would be many guys (many levels) that I could play with <g> before things would become too serious. But from the name you gave me the next hierarchical level before Ken Levy seems to be too close to the big boss.

Too bad VFP is treated this way but that's the way it goes.

Hmmm I'm thinking about something and it's that VFP must be really really good if MS is that scared of doing good marketing on it.

I understand that for BIG corporations .Net is the way to go. But if they don't push VFP more than that for small and medium sized companies could it be because they'd be afraid that VFP would get there before .Net

What better way to prove to us (Hardcore VFP developers) that VFP does'nt have its place nowhere anymore than doing real marketing for it. If it does'nt sell than they'd be able to tell us. "You see we did all we could but the market does'nt want it anymore"

I guess we'll never know, do we.

>My guess is Eric Rudder, but that's pure speculation on my part.

>>I never had a doubt about that. I feel kinda sad giving some hell to Ken when orders could come from above. But last time I heard Ken was responsible for marketing of VFP and I don't know who's stopping him from above. So guess who will receive my griefs about marketing on VFP the next time I do it <g>
