PMFJI but, as you mention it, how many hours of daylight do you get at the moment? It's rather poignant your mentioning the beach as I assumed that the reason why so many Swedes died in the tsunami was because up there they're more likely to seek warmer climes, to escape (what I assumed to be) the near permanent darkness.
