To add to my other reply, here's another thing I've done. For development, I set up a connection in my views dbc with a connection string pointing to my development database (which is local). At runtime, I check for NOT FILE('myproject.pjx') to create a different connection string to be used in the CONNSTRING clause. The new connection string will override what's in the dbc, even if you embed your views dbc in your executable.
