Guys,

I've been to the last three or four Tech Ed conferences, will attend this year too and can tell you - they are an additional "brain drain." I've attended the Fox sessions at Tech Ed, but also spent a lot of time learning all I could about NT, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Proxy Server and other such topics. I have to be an "all around cowboy" in our shop because there aren't many of us. I view Tech Ed as more geared towards those topics than developer tools, even though there are ample VB sessions. (Care to debate whether or not VB is the darling of MS?) They also even have some funny sessions like "Developing for the Enterprise using Access." Of course we know that means a front end to MS SQL Server.

Having said that, I have no problem with MS not offering a bunch of sessions on Fox at Tech Ed. As long as we continue to have the Devcons, and they keep moving the product forward, we should all be happy.

As for signing up for Tech Ed, it's sold out - again. If you don't sign up early, you probably won't get in. This year the U.S. Tech Ed will have 10,000+ attendees. I can't wait to fight for dinner.<g>
