Comments re Scoble interview
Hi Ken,
Loved the interview with Scoble re VFP9.
When you talked about sitting with the .NET team to see which VFP characteristics would be good to replicate in .NET I immediately thought that surely VFP's most useful feature is the local data engine with inline SQL. It should be clarified that a local data engine with inline SQL is a complement, not a competitor to SQL Server. I am currently doing a small data mining application for an accounting package with queries upon queries in which VFP's abilities shine beautifully. (Macros shine too).
I look forward to the day when moving to .NET does not mean having to give up many cherished features.
Alex
