In the wake of September 11 it was beautiful to see Americans rally in unison and the world do likewise with America.

That didn't last long, neither in America nor the world at large, and I can't attribute its demise within America but I'm pretty sure that the rest of the world simply got turned off by the sudden aggressive stance of the U.S.

Now we have the tsunami and the world, including America, is rallying much as it did after 9/11.

The question is, will this one last or will it too simply revert to worse than prior status?
