Hi Alejandro. There are many people at Microsoft on the Visual Studio team who agree with what you say below and are starting to work on how to bring the to VS/.NET that same data-centric language power to .NET - based on VFP technology. I agree a result like this would complement SQL Server, just like VFP is today since you can bring down SQL Server data and allow the local language to manipulate the data. The data-centric language features should be independent of the actual data source.

>Loved the interview with Scoble re VFP9.

>When you talked about sitting with the .NET team to see which VFP characteristics would be good to replicate in .NET I immediately thought that surely VFP's most useful feature is the local data engine with inline SQL. It should be clarified that a local data engine with inline SQL is a complement, not a competitor to SQL Server. I am currently doing a small data mining application for an accounting package with queries upon queries in which VFP's abilities shine beautifully. (Macros shine too).

>I look forward to the day when moving to .NET does not mean having to give up many cherished features.
