Hi Alejandro

I have installed it successfully a couple of times. Will you be using Access or SQL. If you use SQL, you have to change the "defaultdataprovider" in the web.config file to "SQLDataProvider". It uses access by default.

You go to SQL Enterprise manager, create a new database called dotnetnuke.
you unzip dotnetnuke into a folder on your computer.
Fire up IIS (computer management) and add a virtual directory to the the default web pages.

This is the step they fail to tell you in the documentation: go to the dotnetnuke folder, right click, choose properties and go to the securities tab, you must add the asp.net/machine account to your user list for that directory and give it all rights. (You may have to enable simple file sharing to get the security tab to show up).

once you have the rights set on the directory, type http:\\localhost\dotnetnuke into the address bar of your browser and dotnetnuke will create the sql database files and you should be ready to go.

If you have any further questions, let me know.
