Hi Alex,
it is so simple. You can download last 3.0 version or previous 2.1.2.
Unzip it in your wwwroot.
Create DNN database in MSDE.
Change settings in web.config
After that call it in the browser.
During first running it will create alone tables in db
Don't forget SuprAdmin(Host) and Admin(Admin) UserName and password
With them you can add new module, skins, containers, etc.
You can arange in which pane to appears one or other module.
There are a lot(20) of Internal modules and a hundreds low cost (paid) modules. If you like you can develop your own custome modules
It is very easy to work with this open source project. We use it fro 2 years and even some bank portals are done with it in Farnace
