I think he mis-translated Minnesota's state motto "L'Etoile du Nord" as "The moon of the north."

We should be thanking our lucky "stars," though... Warren Moon could still be the Vikings' quarterback. Then we would have to put up with even more insipid headline puns. I reluctantly remember "Moon over Miami" after Minnesota beat the Dolphins a few years back.
