Sure it's possible (I don't know why you didn't suck it and see). However what do you mean by "related tables"? If they are free then they don't have "persistent relations" - only those you set up with "set relation". BUT the view designer allows you to set up the relation for the view.

Do I presume that you know how to use the view designer to create an updatable view?
