I think, it depends on if the grid is in Read Only mode or not. I also just found, that the developer set that property for the particular form. I guess, I have to set this color to dark blue in my grid class so the colors match, though I do not like to change visual appearance. Or I need to discuss it with the manager first...

But since, as you point out, one of the forms is using a different class from a different library, that class probably has a different default setting. You'd have to open the class itself to confirm that.

And the strangest thing is that the other grid class is based on the cGrid class, which is the exact same class I based my class. The class called cGridList has 49,106,197 in its HighlighBackColor and it is default setting, e.g. it is not in bold, like with other changed properties. But my setting is also a default one. I do not understand, how it can be...

No, what you say certainly doesn't make sense. If two grids are inheriting from the same class, and neither has its HighlightBackColor property in bold, I don't see how they wouldn't be the same.

Just out of curiosity, if you change the property on your grid to some other color, then change it back by using the "Reset to default" pop-up option when you right-click, does that make a difference? How about if you do the same thing with the other grid?
