Tore is 100% correct. The marketing of VFP 9.0 will be about the same as VFP 8.0 was with an upcoming article and mailing to major press sources world wide, mentions about VFP 9.0 on various msdn.com sources, educating Microsoft folks in the field about VFP, providing marketing material online, etc. I've stated online many times before that Visual Studio is Microsoft's flagship developer tool and most advertising and other efforts will go in that direction since there is a bigger profit margin and return on investment.

No messages here, email to executives, open letter, or any other such efforts will have any positive result nor would it result in any change for VFP. The only result might be to have VFP developers in the community get fed up and leave the forum or other and then there only a downside to you all here online and no upside. There are many things done for marketing VFP especially outside the VFP community but it will never be to the degree that is done for Visual Studio (.NET). I'm not asking you to stop the complaining and other feedback threads on this topic. I'm simply telling you they will not have any change within Microsoft and it will only have a negative effect on VFP and be annoying to many VFP developers online who have understood the reality of the situation for several years now.
