We currently use a Unisys Source NDP to image checks on a daily basis. FWIW, it appears to be similar to the Canon unit that was referenced in the other post.

Magtek also has several imaging units that you should check out. For processing batches of checks, you would use their new Excella model. Otherwise, the MICRImage does a good job of processing individual checks.
