One of my jobs while in service was to re-write a manual used by the Division G-4. Between reading that manual (and several others), and putting it into "proper" military format, my writing abilities suffered greatly. For years, I could no longer use 10 sentences when one would do (try writing a 20 page political science, history, sociology, etc. term paper with that disability!)
In examining many of my posts here on the UT, I've discovered that I've almost completely recovered. A lot of the time, don't make much sense and I take a very long time getting to my non-point.
