Tore, Yes it is best to put validation in VALID but if You have Your Own MassageBox function (I have that, it creates Modal form with Your message) and want to say to user that s/he doesn't make a valid input with Your function it is almost impossible to do that because VALID is fired when you call Own MessageBox() and program hangs :o(((. I can't see how to run other VFP form w/o firing VALID of the current control.
