I agree there is a change in the way VFP doing in caption, I never have a problem on making caption like "=" even in VFP7; however, when I upgrade to VFP8, it generates error.

In fact, I do my caption in init event of my form, since I need to accomodate both English, Traditional Chinese & Simplied Chinese. Therefore, the form will select correct set of captions from table first, and amend the caption accordingly.
