Using the Registry seems problematic to me, mainly because it is tricky to transfer options from one place to another.

Since you work with databases, storing data in databases is a good option.

Another interesting option is a text-file, which might be an INI file. This is a good option if you want some options to be accessible for a user from outside of your program, i.e., the user can change some options without needing anything more than NotePad.
