You might also want to do some searches on MSDN for keywords 'VB.NET, Outlook, etc,'
I generally recommend VB.NET over C# for Office Automation. I've done Office Automation with Excel and Word, and it is much simpler with VB.NET. While most of my apps are in C#, I have a few separate project DLLs in VB.NET to specifically deal with Office.
