I'm having a problem in an application running at a client site with Win95 workstations on a Novell 4.11 network. I have 24 tables open in optimistic table buffering mode, and perform various buffered changes to the files. All my tableupdates are wrapped in a transaction, where I attempt to update each file. If I encounter a problem, the entire transaction is rolled back. The problem I'm having is with one particular file. It intermittantly fails to update, with the "Record is in use by another user" error. However, this happens when nobody else is on the network. Also, if I suspend the program at this point and go to another workstation, I can use the file on the network and make changes to the very record that the application is not able to update. I have tried loading the latest Novell client versions, but this does not solve the problem.

If anybody has any ideas on this problem, or was interested enough to read the whole description, I could really use some new input. Thanks in advance for your help.
