I think it is possible to amend the records using other connections, since you're changing the data in other tables if using other connections, VFP can handle it...

But I think you should sort the table out from fetching records too many as once time before considering on record updating... since it is very difficult to control the record conflicting while some data is in server, some new data is in local, you don't know where host the complete set of data... woow... you can be in deep deep trouble...
