Did you install VFP 9 in the same folder as VFP 8 (e.g. upgrading it)? Otherwise, all the configuration should be completely isolated, and you should be seeing a couple different things (the DataExplorer in the TaskPane, for example).

Also, you may check if VFP 9 is reading an older config.fpw pointing to VFP 8 resources.
