>>>I once worked for a company that has a textbook inventory package for public schools and also software for the cellular phone industry.

>>Maybe the same product here in regards to Craig's cell phone reference, but FWIW I'm reviewing a comprehensive and high-end billing system for wireless communication services, currently being developed with VFP front-end and SQL Server backend. And this from a company who's original product for this was on Unix platform for the past 7 years. I was impressed to see a major rewrite of a internationally sold product like this being done in what we all know is the best tools for the job.

>The products I worked on were originally developed in Clipper...then migrated to VFP. They were marketed by GTE Telecommunications under the names DataFlash and Guidelines.
Ohohoh... hey I might be interested in these apps if they are still on the market. Happen to know if I'll find anything on a GTE or other website maybe? The product I was talking about is being developed by ARIS and it's called Envision.
