I have a report in an Excel workbook created via automation on a nightly basis that reflects data entry into a FoxPro database up to the day before. I want to make this report available on another website, not controlled by me, but to which I have permissions to post files once I have logged in.

Currently moving the file from the location where it is stored to the website where others access it is a manual process I complete whenever I think someone may be needing to look at the updated workbook. I would like the moving of this file to the other website an automatic process, so I can go on vacation! <grin>

After talking to the developers of the target website, I was advised away from automating IE to move the data. Apparently they had tried something similar at one point and not met with success.

Other suggestions included windows scripting host and perl script. I however have no idea how to get started with those options and could use a hint or a good reference to point me in the right direction.

Any ideas how you would focus energy to this problem?
Anyone else try to automate IE for a similar task that met with either failure or success?

Hopefully this makes sense!

Thanks!
