Your correct, the
mmAppBase.SecurityMgr
does use the factory. I was accessing the SecurityManger using
this.SecurityManager
in the code behind file for the asp.net page, which seems to return mmSecurityManager instead of using the factory.

Do the web controls use the mmAppBase or the Web Forms SecurityManger property to check their security level?

Can I temporally change a users security level by making changes to the dsUserSecurity, dsRoleSecurity and dsUserRoles DataSets? I'm trying to find a way to change the current users security roles with out making changes to the database.

I'm using version 1.2.1 of the framework.
