Update on this...

I have found that something is making files in the directories running FoxPro2.6. The files are VDM*.tmp files. We think these are being made by Windows clients running the FoxPro as Virtual Dos Machines. These files are being created at a rate of 4,000 per day. The huge number of files in the directory causes Novell to slow down access to it.

Does anyone know exactly what creates the VDM's and if multiple VDM's can be created by one application? Is any way to have them made as temp files that Novell purges or the client purges?

TIA.
