I think we're arguing the same side of the argument here. My example was an attempt to demonstrate a need where performing a single task could logically require multiple results. Isn't this exactly what you're saying is appropriate on occasion?

>In that case I'ld seriously rethink your approach. What if you need to extract more parameters ? An array wuld be very nice for higher powers, an object gives you more options. And you should always give back at least the correlation coefficient... Scalar parameters are not good here.
