Yes, the solar flares have cause a lot of disturbance in the GP-B systems and communications, and even caused some loss of data, but it should not be so significant as to effect the overall results of the experiment. Before reading the article, I was unaware of the strong solar flares that have erupted over the past week. I suppose we here on the surface of earth are much more shielded from its effects that satellites orbiting earth which are outside earths atmosphere and eletromagnetic fields.
