>I agree with Fabio on this one. Though the whole discussion is nonsense and mostly it is personal preference.

Well, if you stay the only one to vote, then it is 2-1 for Fabio, meaning he wins. :)

But, sorry, I strongly disagree here where you write a) that it's a nonsense discussion, and b) that it's a personal preference.

There are times that we should not 'stop' (better word is 'kill') a debate by stating that it's in the end all only a matter of personal preference or opinion. One of the great features of vfp is that it's so flexible. But its flexibility is also, at the same time, its culprit, because it allows 'us' to diverge in so many aspects, resulting in almost as many idiosyncratic sourcecodes as there are developers. Not many of us are really eager to maintain anothers sourcecode, because we know that we will be confronted with structures and methods that we don't understand, that are idiosyncratic and nonstandard.

I'm not attacking Fabio here personally. I'm only asking him to reconsider his use of m.this. He should understand that this forum in fact IS an important source for developers who are in search of the right ways to write source code.

One question, for me it is really hard to interpret what Fabio wrote and make sure that I don't misunderstand him, due to his use of English. Is it easy to read for a native speaker?

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
