I did change the font settings for Program, Procedure as well as code windows as Colin suggested but to no avail.
Sergey, I've checked windows font setting and couldn't find any setting that might affect the display of the dropdown combo in question. I've VFP8 installed on the same machine too. But the font is different from that of VFP9, and the contrast is good. So it may not be controlled by windows font setting or if it is they are different.
