I would try setting the record lock setting even higher just to see if it helps. There could be other processes using record locks.
>Thanks for the suggestion! I have tried using the Microsoft client, as well as upgrading to the latest Novell client, and neither of these solutions has helped. As for the record locking setting, we've run into that before and subsequently set the maximum record lock to 2000 - way above the number this process would be using. I'm wondering if there is some similar setting that may be involved. I agree that this seems to be a Novell problem, and I'll keep trying to get more info on that. If you have any more ideas, please let me know.
