Jay;

I have not attempted to contact Zone Labs and just turn off the Firewall before attempting to access the Internet. Reverting to a previous version has me concerned as I have no idea what will then happen. The version 5xxx stuff seems to have many problems and this I understand is when the original company was bought out and the staff left, as the story goes.

I should e-mail Zone Lab and tell them what is happening as my fix works (turn it off) but defeats the purpose of the Firewall! It might help if I had a few names to add to my list with problems being experienced or if others sent e-mails to notify the company.

One reason for using ZoneAlarm was it protects you from incomming and outgoing unwanted traffic. Well, that was the theory and it seemed to work until a few months ago. Perhaps it works too well now - it stops all Internet traffic! That is a great way to prevent garbage from the Internet from getting into your computer! :)

>>Since I began using the latest version of ZoneAlarm (Firewall) I have had problems using I.E. 6.0. About 5 days a week I cannot get on the Internet with one of my computers. The other computers have Norton or McAfee on them and work fine. I did like Zonealarm but I am about to go to a different direction if this keeps up!
