i did some research since i was interested in the SQL_BIT issue.

The PostgreSQL ODBC driver has an option on how to return boolean fields (either as a SQL_CHAR or SQL_BIT)

please post again if the SQL_BIT to Logical mapping works if you turn the option off ..
