Fair point.

Have you tried to run it against a different version of office (2000) or on a different machine?

Can you lift your code (and maybe simplify it to start with and then build it up) and stick it in a separte PRG and loop for say 150 times to see if it still crahses?

Is there any pattern to it crashing? i.e. is it always the 56th time its run or something.

These are just random thoughts really, probably not of much use.

Jon

>oh and on the getobject thing, I used to do that but then I had issues if excel was already open on the machine with say someone checking a report, it'd warn when closing that other sheets need saving and cause foxpro to wait until someone had noticed the popup. or if it's another program opening excel then that could sometimes close the excel instance while I have the object reference. I wanted it always to open a new instance of excel for the system to use, this way it works well.
