Would that work? Yes, you have iterate through the menu, but it should be blazingly fast.

I already have the code to iterate through the menu "branch" so I guess creating a MenuItem subclass wouldn't bee all that much work. Hmm and I guess it would be a good thing because I am sure I will have similar code in multiple applications.
