Yeah I remember that episode. Although he would never show it he always had a begrudging soft spot for the gays and the nutters, and always seemd to get landed with them. Bit like that little guy from Hill St Blues - the one who would growl and sic on people. (Oh! and the actor who played Sipovitz was in that series too, playing exactly the same personality. Strangley, before taking up the role, he appeared earlier as a "bad cop" who ended up getting killed).
