Joel, your choice is perfectly legit, but, don't group vfp mtdlls with the traditional use of VFP COM EXEs as far as ease of use. I've found vfp mtdlls much, much easier than struggling with DCOMCNFG and all the associated problems with having several vfp .exe servers in the background. I was able to put everything needed to create an ASP.NET/VFP COM web app in one utility, generate it, and run it with no need for any manual config or setup of servers...
