Hi,

On a networked Windows 2003 server I have a shared folder named ERP and a subfolder named DATA which contains VFP applications and data files that users/operators need to access from different PCs throught the plant.
I would like to allow run applications, append records to databases from withing the application, however,I noticed ...

a. when openning other applications installed on the workstation, (running XP Pro), such as MS-Wordif you select "My Network Favorites/Places" after selecting "Open" s a file, you can access the shared folder /delete files, etc, from any shared folder. How can I disable or prevent this from happenning?

b. Manually creating desktop shorcuts, and for example chaning the icon of the shorcut allows a user to enter into and manuipulate shared folder.

John
