StrictDateEntry = 0, without the D format, will allow you to enter whatever you like, but it will not accept it as valid when you're done. It will simply put the value back to an empty datetime and give you no message. You have to check the validity yourself in your own valid().

Right, that's the whole idea of making custom date validation. So, what is the solution for me?
And, BTW, I indicated clearly (I think), that I am using StrictDateEntry property of the textbox.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
