I find "Mouse" in the Control Panel, but the only more or less similar option I find is, how many lines to scroll for a single movement of the mouse wheel. It doesn't seem to have any influence in Word. BTW, what I am looking for is not directly related to the mouse wheel, but to an additional "magic button" which is supposed to start scrolling.
Ah, well, I suppose this will be different for different mice.
The problem appears only in MS-Word. In other applications, scrolling is normal.
>yes, in your Mouse properties.

>But when you get it fixed you'll soon see that mouse wheel scrolling eventually stops working anyway, especially if you have 2 documents open.

>good luck
>>In my old computer, I used to press a button on the mouse to scroll automatically, without further touching the mouse.

>>Now, on another computer, another mouse, Windows XP, and Word 2003, it simply scrolls too quickly, in Word, to be useful (at least for proofreading). In other programs, the auto-scroll works well.

>>Does anybody know of any place where this can be adjusted?
