Another older document changed from 46 to 50 KB when saving with Word 2003 - not that significant a difference. Must be the table, in the case mentioned. Very likely, the support for some fancy new feature in tables. However, even if I "disable features after version...", the document is still inflated.
Well, when I compress the document, it actually compresses very well - very likely, the inflated information is repetitive. So, publishing it on a Web site is not that much of a problem. I was simply wondering whether I had overlooked something simple!
