Look for TweakUI for W2K, there's a couple of checkboxes for that in the Paranoia tab, "Things that happen behind your back" section. That's how I did it... namely the opposite from what you want. I don't want the CD to autolaunch ever, so I keep these checked off. There are actually two autoplays, one for the data CDs, and one for audio CDs.
