A training class gives you more hands-on training. It follows a set curiculum and gives you general information on how to use the software.
Conferences give you a broad overview of beginning to advanced topics. It typically causes you to think outside the box and see techniques, tricks, and technologies that normally won't be covered in a training class. Also, don't under estimate the value of networking with other developers at a conference. Frequently the most interesting conversations happen late night at the hotel bar.

>This year I am lucky enough to have the option of attending either the Technical Training Class or a Technical Conference (DevCon or DevTeach).

>Also, I have to explain to the management my decision, along with benefits that either option will bring to the company.

>At this point I am leaning towards the conference and building a strong case to explain my decision. As far as the DevCon or DevTeach this is still undecided.

>Any suggestion/advice would be greatly appreciated.
