Thanks for the reply, I agree with you, I definitely favor VFP reports over the use of R&R. But, with this one the client was using R&R themselves so we weren't actually writing any of the reports for them. Interestingly enough the solution ended up being an upgrade to the latest version of R&R (version 11?).

>I used to use R&R, but gave it up in favor of VFP reports for that and some other unreliable behavior. But while using it, I ended up creating temporary files for just the reports so that the real files could stay unlocked. A pain, but it worked.
