I have a form based on a view that has a parent and child table. The tables are linked on a unique index field.

The main form fields are associated with the parent and a grid with the child.

My situation is adding a child record. If I try to append a record to the view it trys to add a new record to the parent which is not what I want.

How do I add a record only to the child portion of the view so my grid is populated with the added record immediately?
