In versions prior to 5.0 you'll need to work around it yourself. One solution is to just SET CENTURY ON and leave it up to the user to enter all four digits. There's an article in the March 1998 issue of FoxPro Advisor magazine that outlines a good work-around that allows you to trap the date entry before the valid. This is particulary important for February 29th which is a valid date in 2000 but not 1900.
