Kenneth,
The research I did was acctually not for me. I was asked for assistance from a different department to evaluate if Flash (SWF format) was a good format. This department outsourced one project to a 3rd party programming shop (with is good because I have project plans already made for the next 5 years). My recommendation for this department was to go with the SWF format, mostly because they want someone in their department to learn Flash to modify or add on to the project once the 3rd party people were out of the picture. Based on my research I think training is more readily available for Flash than for SVG. If I wanted to learn (or choose) one over the other I would probably go with SVG.

My research also spiked an intrest for learning more about SVG (in my spare time), even though it will not be applied in my day to day job.

>You've probably have already started using one or the other, but I did want to tell you that you owe it to yourself to at least play around with SVG. It's pretty cool stuff, especially for free.

It's great and from order time to receipt, only 7 days. The program Gerald mentions in this thread looks great too, but I have not tried it yet.

>>Tom,
>>I have a couple of follow up questions for you, if you don't mind answering them for me.
>>1. Which is better (in your honest oppinion) Flash or SVG? (I know this is a crazy question and I guess I know what the answer will be, but if you could be kind and give me a couple of reasons why you prefer one over the other)
>>2. Which is easier to learn, Flash or SVG? (please considder number of books and articles written, available training and information/examples on the internet when you answer this)
>>3. Which method is most widely used on the internet (and other places)? Is there a different trend?
>>
>>I know these questions arevery subjective (well atleast the answers are subjective), but I am trying to gather as much information as I can before Monday.
>>
>>Thanks,
>>Einar
