What I would like to do, is to have the COM object have access to the global application object goApp in tjhe already running exe, as it contains info about which user is logged in etc. Is this possible?`

I am not intirely clear as what you are attempt to do. But I have, for download, a couple of demos that might interest you.

Go to my web site at http://www.GLRsoftware.com/download.asp, and look for "Remotely terminate application across the network" an "Shared Context Object". The first will allow you to see who is run your application anywhere on the network, and second is a example of independent applications (EXE) running is seperate processes to share the same variables.
